Bal Hill in Katul Village of Mangu Local Government. This is a very nice place for picnics and camping. On top of this hill, tourists are able to see far and wide to surrounding villages around the area.
Kanke LGC Headquarters. A modern Local Government Headquarters Building in Kwal, near Amper. Local Governments Areas are usually responsible for primary health care, education and welfare of the people of the region. Most grass roots Nigerian politics are hatched in places like this.
Ngas houses. A typical house of the people who live on the hills in Amper. Each of these small huts usually houses a typical family, a man, wife and her children. Often times, the huts are self-contained that is, the kitchen, bed(s), and living room, is all crammed in one of these small round huts. As the children get a little older, they are usually moved to the outer huts with other children.

Village garden. A privately owned village garden in Amper. The proprietor of this great garden envisions a place for anyone who would like to enjoy a cool drink, a little pepper soup and/or just simply to relax after a days job.
Nefur Arena. This is an arena for any occasion. In the past, this arena was the venue for major activities in Pankshin. At the moment, it is still used for major outdoors activities and political rallies.
Hilltop hotel. This is the Hotel that boasts itself of being located on the highest point in Plateau State. The hotel presents the tourist with a great view of the entire Pankshin town and even the small villages around the place. On a clear day, one can see for miles from this hilltop point.
Pankshin town. Clinging to the sides of the mountain is this picturesque city of Pankshin. This picture of Pankshin township was taken from one of its highest points, the Hilltop Hotel. Pictures really downplay the beauty of this highland town neatly tugged away under some of Plateau States highest land areas. This is one of those places that are best enjoyed on the ground out there than in picture. Come on by and enjoy the beauty that nature bestows on this little town.
Kerang Vulcanic sites. This rock was created by volcanic activities years ago. No one has any idea how long ago the volcano was active. This is a great sight for anyone interested in the study of seismology because, no one knows for sure if the volcano is active underneath. It would be great to find out.
Pudong crater: This crater lake created by a volcano is located in Ampang West in Mangu Local Government Area. This crater is a place of great significance to the people that live around it. There are great stories and legendary folk tales verbally handed down through generations about the crater and its significance to the residence of Ampang, Kerang and Bonpe villages. The water in this crater has never been known to dry up at any time regardless of how much draught the region has been through. Though the crater's depth has never been measured or determined, it is a source of fresh spring water supply to the region.
International youth center, Kura Falls. The home of the State's first hydroelectric power station is located some 77 kilometers South-East of Jos. This area is well known for its breathtaking scenery. It has pleasant climate suitable for people who cherish beauty and pleasant environments. With it's rocks, hills, and lakes, the whole area is ideal for boating, camping, and rock climbing. Above is a picture of some of the accommodation available for tourists.
