Air Commodore Jonah David Jang - Executive Governor

Air Commodore Jonah David Jang assumed office as the 4th democratically elected Governor of Plateau State in May 2007 on the plaform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), the leading political party in Nigeria.
Born on 13th March 1944 in Du, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria. Air Commodore Jonah David Jang holds a Bachelor of Divinity Degree from the Theological College of Northern Nigeria, Bukuru. Governor Jang has had educational training in the Nigerian Air Force service from the date of his enlistment to his retirement both within Nigeria and in several countries around the world.
Though Air Commodore Jonah David Jang is a first time governor of his home state of Plateau, he is not a stranger to the practice of governance, having had experience as a military governor of Benue State and the then Gongola State (now Adamawa State). Some of the positions held by Air Commodore Jonah David Jang before he became Executive Governor include:

-Director, Renuyel Community Bank Ltd.
So far Air Commodore Jonah David Jang has continued to play a key role in Nigerian national politics. He was a strong mobilizer for the election of current republic in the People's Democratic Party Primaries in 1999 as well as 2003 and again in 2007 when he emerged victorious as the governor under the flag of the People's Democratic Party. He has also been the recipient of numerous awards of recognition and outstanding performance from various organizations.
